About my fish keeping...
I have been keeping tropicals for sometime now, and my current interest are on reef keeping, planted aquariums, and guppies.
Some of the fish that I have kept in the past
- Discus = (Symphysodon spp.)
- Angel Fish = (Pterophyllum spp.)
- Apistogramma
- Aulonocara
Placidochromis "Superior Yellow"
- Possible Scientific name: Placidochromis mbamba ?
- Common Name:Placidochromis electra "superior yellow." Name when I purchased them.
- Origin: Lake Malawi in Africa
A very active cichlid that shows quite much intraspecific aggression. Builds sand nests that are maintained all day long and that are also defended fiercely.Mine were placed in a four foot tank and did not get along well with Aulonocara, and Labidachromis "Perlmutt" at all. They suffered immensly and are now in thier own four foot tank. Breeding: Typical mouthbrooder, but the fry are tiny, so be ready with small foods. My spawns have been quite large with up to 40 fish per spawn.
